This is a round garden dining set in luxury teak – a 120cm dining table and 4 folding garden chairs designed for a patio, terrace, or any outdoor space where furniture needs to earn its keep.
The table
The dining table is 120cm in diameter. That seats four people around a round table comfortably – enough room, not too much. The sunburst slat design runs the wood outward from the centre, which gives the table its name and makes it look more considered than a plain slatted garden dining table.
The table top is 4cm thick. That’s heavier than the standard for wooden outdoor furniture at this price, and you can feel it – the table doesn’t flex. A parasol hole is pre-drilled at the centre (4.8cm pole, base not included).
When it’s not in use, the table folds completely flat and can stand upright against a patio wall or fence. On a small patio this matters more than people realise – a folded garden dining table takes up about the same footprint as a garden bench.
The chairs
The 4-seater garden dining set includes 4 Miami folding teak garden chairs. The chair set folds flat in the same way. The folding mechanism on cheaper outdoor dining chairs tends to introduce a wobble under load – the Miami chair doesn’t. Each garden chair in the set has a clean slatted back and a seat depth that’s comfortable for a full meal rather than just coffee.
If you want arms on your garden chair, the Highness stacking chair is available as an upgrade.
The wood
Teak is one of the few hardwoods suited to outdoor furniture year-round in the UK. It has naturally high silica and oil content, which means the wood resists moisture and doesn’t need annual treatment. New teak starts honey-gold. Left on a patio or in the garden, it weathers to silver-grey over 12 to 18 months.
This isn’t garden furniture that needs to come inside in October. All Kingsley Smythe teak is V-Legal certified. Through the Trees4Trees programme, two trees are planted in managed plantations for every teak garden dining set sold.
Round table or rectangular?
Round dining sets tend to work better on a square patio or in compact outdoor spaces where rectangular tables would leave awkward unused corners. A round table also removes the head-of-table dynamic, which makes a difference when you’re hosting a garden party or a Sunday lunch where the conversation is the point. If you regularly seat six or eight, this isn’t the right garden furniture – the 150cm Sunburst 6-seater or the 180cm version would be. But as a 4-seater garden dining set, 120cm is the right size.

Covers and care
Teak outdoor furniture needs very little: occasional cleaning with warm soapy water, and the cushions stored inside during extended rain. Covers are available separately – they won’t change how the wood performs, but they do keep the table top and chair set clean over winter and make spring setup easier.
This outdoor dining set is also available as a 6-seater with 6 folding garden chairs if you need more seats at the table.
