The extending dining table
At 180cm closed and 240cm fully extended, the oval garden table has two butterfly extension sections that fold inside the dining table when not in use. Width runs from 110cm to 120cm depending on stock. The 4cm teak top is thick by the standards of most patio furniture at this price – this is a solid, heavy dining table, not a lightweight summer piece. If your patio layout is more suited to a straight-sided design, our rectangular table ranges are worth a look. On most garden terraces, the oval shape handles the extended length better, as it keeps the ends accessible when 8 people are seated.
The chairs and cushions
Six teak stacking chairs and two Bowood teak armchairs come with the dining set, all with free chair cushions included. Stacking chairs nest together for patio storage. The Bowood garden chairs at the head positions have a wider seat and shaped back – a proper armchair rather than a side chair. Eight cushions are fitted to both chair types. Cushion sizes and cushion types are matched to the set.
Teak furniture outdoors
Solid teak needs less maintenance than almost any other garden furniture material. Its natural oils resist moisture and prevent cracking, so this patio furniture can stay outside through UK winters without shelter or treatment. That said, we have a range of weather covers to help keep your furniture clean, dry and free of winter debris. Over time, you can expect your furniture to weather to a natural silvery-grey colour. We recommend cleaning with mild soapy water and a soft brush when needed.
